Hello Everyone,

Well my day, and the past few days have literally been spent, spending and wrapping, Santa has a lot to answer for!

Actually, I am possibly the worst xmas wrapper in the world, I recall being younger and opening my presents, my mum, Sarah, wrapped each present with what seemed like a whole role of sticky tape!

The sweat would literally be pouring off myself and my little sister, Susan as we wrestled with the presents to get them open!

I remember that we also got a xmas stocking, none of the fancy ones with your name embroidered on it, actually we each got one of my Dad, Tommy’s fishing socks!

Does not sound so hygienic now I admit that, but we didn’t care, we loved anything we got.

Actually my friend, Jason, used to get his Dad’s Football or Soccer socks so I think I was a little more lucky than him as my Dad only fished about once a year.

Normally the xmas sock would contain small items, and perhaps an apple or an orange, I really don’t think many kids nowadays would be happy with a stocking like that.

My daughter, Jade has been asleep for a few hours now, the excitement of Santa’s arrival preventing her from going to sleep earlier.

Children have such an innocence regarding Christmas, it is very sweet.

Know we all know Jade is asleep, but Jade was determined to stay awake just to catch a glimpse of Santa!

She will tell me in the morning that she didn’t sleep at all, and that she did in fact see Santa, I recall thinking these things myself and it makes me smile.

I am not sure what message to send to you on this special occasion, just that I hope you are spending christmas with the people you love, and remembering those you love that perhaps cannot be with you.

I wish you all a very happy christmas and I hope that both you and your families have a really special time.
